MURPHY — Reworked Sock Vest
MURPHY is a one-of-one vest reconstructed from five pairs of unused stock socks, transforming familiar everyday materials into an unconventional wearable piece.
A grey knit body is combined with pink British-inspired plaid side panels and a mint-green neckline, while the back reveals a bold Union Jack motif with contrasting red, navy, and white details. The sculptural neckline, gathered construction, and contrasting textures create a distinctive silhouette that blends vintage references with a futuristic Y2K sensibility.
By bringing together different patterns, colours, and knit structures, MURPHY gives new form and life to existing materials while preserving their original textures and character. Designed for layering or wearing as a statement piece, it offers an unexpected take on everyday knitwear.
Each piece is individually reconstructed by hand and exists as a one-of-one design. No two reconstructions are exactly alike, and this particular piece will not be reproduced.
